Micah Sanchez serves as Executive Director of I Am Human Foundation, leading day-to-day operations, program delivery, and organizational strategy. As a trans veteran, he brings firsthand understanding of navigating institutional systems, and that lived experience shapes how the foundation shows up for the communities it serves.

His leadership centers dignity, accountability, and care. Micah works closely with staff, board members, and community partners to build programs that meet people where they are, with a focus on Black and brown LGBTQ+ communities across the South.

For Micah, this work is personal. He leads I Am Human with the belief that honoring resilience and holding space for healing is how communities grow stronger.
